Liwa Date Festival

The 20th Liwa Date Festival, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will take place from July 15 to 28, 2024, in Liwa, Al Dhafrah Region, Abu Dhabi. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, the festival features heritage competitions like date and fruit contests, a model farm competition, and activities in the traditional market and children’s village. The event promotes Abu Dhabi’s cultural heritage, supports local farmers, enhances sustainable agriculture, and boosts food security and economic activity in the region.
